Honda creates record with 5 million CB Shine sales : Honda has claimed that its Flagship bike CB Shine has created record sales of 5 million in the 125cc category, also making it the higest selling bike in the world. CB Shine was launched in 2006 and since then it has become the flagship motorcycle of Honda and is the only one to cross 5 million sales in the world in 125cc category. 

Deposits rise but credit growth stagnant: Banks shows a healthy rise of 13.9% in its deposit base due to the demonetization drive of the central government. But despite heavy deposits, the credit growth has not seen any growth and is stuck at 5% and the total outstanding bank credit stands at 74 lakhs crore. The surplus funds lying with bank could boost credit at lower rates in the coming days. 

Leading biscuit manufacturer Parle is aiming to increase its share in the premium biscuit segment: It holds 15% of the market segment of premium segment which it wants to expand to 20%. Its premium offerings include Milano, Simply Good, Happy Happy and Hide & Seek. The estimated worth of premium biscuits is 5000 crores. 

Textiles and Garments 
Textile minister Smriti Irani is busy reviving the struggling powerloom sector: The industry is bread earner for lot of people in India who comes from lower income strata of the society. It has been in doldrums for a long time and now Textile ministry has hinted for some positive news soon after the elections are over in the 5 states. The reforms could be capital at lower interest rates. 

Another big name in cinema theatres business eyes exit from the business: SRS cinemas due to liquidity issues is looking for buyers for its 'Cinemas' and 'Retail' divisions’. Multiplex operators INOX and other private equity players are in talks with SRS at the moment. SRS has 50 screens in 15 cities.
